Ashgrove Reserve

Late last year we took over the care of the Ashgrove Reserve. It had been maintained the the City Council but we wanted to nurture it with cleaning up the weeds and encouraging new under-planting.

This historic reserve has an interesting history since it was planted in the early 20th Century.  The trees are about 115 years old and include two kauri trees.  We are delighted to be able to treasure the reserve with 6 weekly weeding sessions and a planting day on July 28th from 10-30am.  We have the support of the Park Ranger and our area arborist, both of whom have a vital role in supporting us.
